The consultancy involved building the capacity of county local government officials in effective planning, delivery and monitoring of WASH programmes at the County level. Components of the assignment included;

• Support in the interpretation of the South Sudan National Water Policy and the National WASH Strategic Plan into County based actionable documents.
• Trained the local government officials on the establishment and sustainability of Water Management Committees.
• Trained the County officials on Community Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) methodology as one of the strategies for elimination of open defecation in communities.
• Providing training on sustaining Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) in schools.
• Trained county officials on Children Hygiene and Sanitation Transformation (CHAST) as a strategy for maintaining good hygiene and sanitation practices in schools.
