The evaluation was funded by the Dutch Government and commissioned by Euro Consult Mott MacDonald under Water for Lakes Project. The overall objective of this hygiene promotion review exercise was to assess the effectiveness of the hygiene promotion campaign activities including the approach, IEC materials, communication plan and make recommendations and lessons learnt to inform the next project phase.
The study employed a descriptive cross-sectional technique in which only qualitative methods were applied. Data was collected from four Payams of; Mayom, Wulu, Rumbek Centre and Madual Akon through FGD’s, Structured observations, Household in-depth Interviews, Key informant Interviews and a plenary workshop session with CSO Hygiene Promotion Trainers.
