The survey was conducted in view of expanding SNVs Sanitation programmes, and informing informative decision making on the rightful choice of latrine construction materials. The survey was informed by two main objectives including;

• To study the various latrine models suitable for the two different study areas while considering and incorporating the disability and elderly in the use of the latrine models and bearing in mind the environmental features and factors.
• To analyze the existing informed choice materials regarding latrine construction within Aweil East and Magwi Counties.

The survey was largely Qualitative involving a reviewing programme documents, In-depth interviews with community members, NGOs, County officials from Aweil East and Magwi Counties.
