The baseline survey was conducted in view of expanding the education programmes by providing evidence- based data on project activities intended to address the school Water, Sanitation, Hygiene (WASH) challenges. The purpose of the assessment was therefore to obtain baseline data on Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices (KAP) of pupils in six primary schools on key indicators of Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM), and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH). The baseline adopted a mixed methods approach utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methods of data collection.Quantitative data was collected through structured questionnaires with pupils and qualitative data was collected through key informant interviews (KI) and Focused Group Discussion (FGD).
