The training was commissioned by AMSCO-TMEA. The purpose of the training was to equip the women in cross border trade with knowledge and skills on business management and create awareness about cross border trade regulations among East African Community (EAC) member states for improved trading environment. The training methodology employed participatory adult learning techniques that involved plenary presentation, brainstorming, guided group work discussions, case study analysis and other learning techniques such as map reading, pictoral illustrations, demonstrations and video clips. This set of approaches laid a good foundation in enabling participants learn practical skills on business management concepts through sharing experiences and better understanding of EAC guidelines as well as identification of critical issues regarding cross border trade.
