The consultancy involved a series of technical support activities provided to the project between 2018 and 2019 and this included;

• Development of the Water for Lakes Project Hygiene Promotion Strategy
• Development a strategy for Community engagement on Sanitation promotion without using CLTS methodology
• Business skills Training of Trainers (TOT) for CSOs, VSLA groups
• Training of State and County officials on basic approaches on sustaining Water, Hygiene and Sanitation (WASH) in the state
• Conducted an individual training capacity assessment of CSO Hygiene Promoters
• Conducted ToT training of Water User Committees (WUC) trainers on establishment and governance, and sustainability of Water User Committees (WUC)
• Developed and reviewed a Handbook for a Modified Participatory Hygiene and Sanitation Transformation (PHAST) for training engagement of Community Hygiene Clubs (CHCs)
• Developed a manual for engagement of Community Resource Persons (CRPs) in hygiene promotion
• Trained Partner CSO Hygiene Promoters as TOTs on Modified Participatory Hygiene and Sanitation Transformation (PHAST)
• Developed and reviewed context specific Information Education and Communication (IEC) materials for the hygiene promotion campaign
• Provided continuous technical guidance and support to project staff.
