The assignment involved development of the CHAST toolkit information Educational, and Communication (IEC)/pictorials and training of school teachers in its application. The training of teachers aimed at building the capacity of the teachers in empowering pupils and the larger community in improving hygiene and sanitation behaviors.
The delivery of the ToT adopted the CHAST methodology based on adult and child learning principles of; reflective learning premised on the strength of demonstrations, illustrations, brainstorming, guided discovery, group discussions, role plays and field practice.
