Impact Evaluation on Church and Community Mobilisation (CCM) Process in Aweil East County

Commissioned by Tearfund. The evaluation sought to;

  • Assess the impact of the Church and Community Mobilisation (CCM) Process implemented among the target churches and communities of Warawar and Malual Baai Payams, Aweil East County, Northern Bahr eL Ghazal State, South Sudan.
  • Examine how well Tearfund South Sudan and her local partner churches (ECSS-Diocese of Wanjok (DOW), Aweil East, Anglican, SPC, Catholic, SDA and True Church) implemented CCMP in the communities they serve and take stock of progress towards results.

The Impact Evaluation adopted a cross-sectional descriptive study utilizing qualitative methods of inquiry to promote an in-depth understanding of the impact CCT/CCMP process triggered for the church and the community in Aweil East County (Malual Bai and Warawar Payams). The main methods of data collection included a detailed desk review on relevant literature on church and community mobilisation process (CCMP). The data collection methods entailed use of Key Informant Interviews and Focus Group Discussions with a diverse group of stakeholders to capture how communities, Church leaders, CCT facilitators, youths and local leaders embraced and benefited from CCMP.
